Busy on weekday which is a good sign. Clean. Friendly staff. Wife loves the grits. Big portions for double stack pancakes.

There are a million and one pancake houses and breakfast spots in the Myrtle Beach area. When we were staying in North Myrtle last year we stumbled in. The place was memorable enough, that when I passed it I bookmarked it to review, since I hadn't last year. We were seated quickly and our waitress got out orders right. This is much easier said than done. Our food was decent, I remember having steak and eggs. I think I had to add some additional salt and pepper to the steak but other than that the steak was cooked to my liking. My wife got some pancakes and the kids had french toast or waffles. Nothing that really WOWED us but good enough that if we weren't staying in Surfside Beach (read 45 minutes south) we would have been back this year. Bottom Line: If your looking for breakfast in North Myrtle head in.

The Golden Griddle Pancake House is a typical pancake spot for a quick sit down breakfast. I came with a large party of 30 people, and we were seated quickly at tables side by side. For the entire party there were three waitresses, and the one for my table was extremely rude. She treated my family/group drastically different from her other tables. One of the friendly ones was named Sue, but the rude one shall remain nameless. The other two waitresses were very friendly. The service was relatively quick, but still rude. I ordered blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was $2.40 for three pieces. I enjoyed the bacon, but the pancakes were rather dry and only had a few blueberries. I ended up ordering a side of hash browns because I was not going to finish the pancakes, and they were tasty. Overall, if you want a quick breakfast, this is an option. But, the service varies. This is receiving a rating of 2 stars simply for the service and average/below par food quality.

Silence is Golden, but this breakfast was not! My wife's Veggie Omelette was the worst she has ever had. There was a white milky substance in the center, we think it was the American cheese. Only three vegetables: mushrooms; onions; green peppers. My Banana pancakes were light and fluffy with 7 pieces on top, but the banana flavor in the pancakes was non existent. Then there was the Corn Beef Hash: Meow Mix. Coffee was good and our waitress Laura was very friendly.

I found this place after scouring the Internet and boy was it a treat?! It a little bit of a drive from the resort we are staying in but very well worth it. Despite being in he middle of a Saturday morning rush, our server Brenda was so sweet and attentive and treated us like we were guests in her own home. I highly recommend this place and will make it a point to return the next time we visit Myrtle Beach!!

3 STARS for the quality of the food and 4 STARS for the price. We had 8 in tow and there was no wait - our waitress was fast (not the friendliest but she got the orders right). Be careful when scanning the long menu.. the combos are significantly cheaper than just ordering separates. I had the country ham and 2 eggs combo, substituted toast and gravy for 2 pancakes - definitely a winner. The pancakes were good and fluffy and the country ham was good and salty. The eggs were okay. Overall, it's a filling breakfast and didn't break the bank. We will be back!!

Our favorite breakfast place in NMB! It is a little outdated, decor wise, but it fits right in with the other places on Main Street. I had a combo with a waffle, scrambled eggs, and toast! Yum! My husband also got a combo with French Toast and over medium eggs. We were both very full after eating! It is always packed but tables move quickly. I love the little South Carolina placemats. I analyze it every visit. I want to live in SC. I'd take any town really!

I was in the mood for a good ol southern brunch and that was exactly what I got from here. My husband and I came here on a Saturday morning and I was craving eggs and steak. He ordered pancakes and eggs. Our awesome waitress was super patient with us as I scanned the menu for way too long. Being the foodie that I am, I asked if I could customize my meal. I wanted eggs and I wanted steak, so I merged two different meals together and VOILA! It was delish! I had the Golden Griddle Omelet and added the sirloin but I did not want it chopped like it was stated in the menu and requested for their to be caramelized onions on top. Man was my breakfast delish!

THE best breakfast place I've ever been to in my whole entire life. And that's saying a lot because I am a huge breakfast fanatic. I go to breakfast places all over the place. I'm from Maryland and I'm here on vacation and I've already gone 3 times. The hash browns are to die for, the eggs are cooked well, pancakes fast absolutely delightful. Fluffy and buttermilk. GO TO THIS PLACE AND YOU WILL THANK ME

The decor in this place is like walking into a blast from the past but that is part of its charm. This was great in every way. Great food and service.

There's plenty of breakfast choices in NMB so we like to take a different route off the beaten path and happened to stumble across this place for breakfast on Sunday morning. The wait for two was approximately 30 min - which seemed pretty ambitious for the line that we saw forming in front of the restaurant. For me, seeing a long wait at a restaurant off the main road is a good sign - means the food is pretty good. We took a short walk to explore beyond the restaurant to kill time and by the time we were back (10 min walk) we were called and seated. We were quickly greeted by the waitress, who was very, very nice. We put in our order, bacon and cheese omelette, pancakes and since it's the south, an order of biscuits and gravy. Everything came out in good time, the bacon and cheese omelette was good, nothing fantastic. The biscuits and gravy were very good - fluffy biscuits topped with creamy gravy filled with chunks of sausage bits. The pancakes were light and fluffy - so good that we had to enter a second order of pancakes! Definitely a return trip before we leave NMB.

We think this place has the best breakfast in myrtle beach. Their sausage gravy is worth getting and we loved the hash browns... So good! My husband also mentioned this was the best service we have gotten from any of the restaurants we had been to on our vacation. We went two times for breakfast.

Packed house, but still very fast service. Friendly staff, kid friendly, good food, good value, good service. Everything you want in a good restaurant.

We feel like this is the best Breakfast on The Grand Strand. The have delicious northern style hashed brown potatoes which my family loves. They also have a cheap all you can eat buttermilk pancakes special each day, which is definitely a great value. This place is always crowded so get there early, but it is well worth the wait!

If you don't care about how you are treated and just want good food, this is your place. We were not recognized for a while when we first arrived and neither had the 2 parties in front of us. One of the parties was a group of older ladies and they wanted to make sure the other people were helped. The lady then raised her voice at her that she would take care of them. She's old, not deaf. Let's respect our elders, people. Then our server, Crystal, practically threw the coffee pot down on the table...not pouring anyone coffee that asked for it. She was very short with us when we ordered and barely answered any questions. Then when she delivered the food she was too lazy to walk around the table, so she handed my mom a hot plate across my husband's face. My mom literally yelled out from how hot it was and it burned her finger. Crystal's response was, "It wasn't hot to me." Really? We asked for hot syrup twice, she brought us more cold syrup and said that's just how we serve it. I also witness another lady (I think she was a manager or owner) ask an older man if he got what he wanted because they were closing that room. Wow. So much for Southern hospitality. We will never return.

This was the first time here but not to myrtle beach . Tried Dino's but nothing comes close to this. Went with the big dog and it was perfect. Pancakes were great and eggs were perfectly cooked. Went to this place based on reviews and they all hit the mark. Absolutely will be going back next time back

  • Chris G.

We come to this restaurant several times each visit to the area. Their pancakes are awesome! They have great daily specials! They are always busy, but the food is worth the wait!!!

  • Diane B.

Waitress was very attentive food came out quickly got and fresh had the omlet with side of turkey sausage links and 2 delicious buttermilk pancakes no complaints belly full--time to explore Myrtle Beach

  • Ginna R.

Okay, so went here with family for breakfast on vacation. Not sure why this place gets good reviews. My pancakes were dry, my husbands sausage was overcooked, and it took a while to get our food. Nothing special here.

  • Adam R.

Golden, crispy waffles. Light, fluffy, melt in your mouth pancakes. AWESOME hash browns, and perfectly cooked bacon. What else can you ask for in a breakfast? We hit this place on the way out of town Saturday morning, and couldn't have ended our week at North Myrtle Beach any better. We got there early enough that we missed the crowds, and we're seated right away. The service was excellent and very friendly, despite the fact that they were obviously busy. Coloring books and crayons for the kids were a huge hit, and the South Carolina map placemats gave the whole family something to do while we waited for the food, which was a very short wait. If you want to get a great breakfast done right in North Myrtle, you've got to go to the Golden Griddle, but go early!!!

  • Joan W.

I've been in Myrtle Beach 12 years this is my very favorite breakfast place hands-down.. Very fast friendly service every single time and the food is perfect fresh and homemade! Feels like home every time I go there and I always take all my friends and family and company here when they come into town! Thank you Golden griddle pancake house!!!!! Best hashbrowns ever!!!!

    (5)
  • Kay G.

The best breakfast place in North Myrtle Beach! The corn beef hash is amazing and the pancakes are large and yummy. It is always busy, but the line moves very fast! The staff are courteous. I highly recommend this place for an exceptional and affordable breakfast!

    (5)
  • Veronika F.

Regular breakfast place. Nothing special and no good presentation. Bacons are over salted and dry. Coffee is on the cheap side so this an average dinning.

  • Jenny M.

Biscuits & Sausage Gravy...enough said. I always judge a breakfast place by their biscuits and gravy and this place passed with flying colors! The biscuits were fluffy and the sausage gravy was flavorful. Everything was so cheap for the huge portions you got. I wish I had a bigger stomach! I stole some of my Aunt's pancakes and I almost regretted getting the biscuits but then I remembered that we will be here all week :) Also, excellent service! Our waitress was the classic southern woman that you wanted to have at a place like this. Everything from her friendly smile to her southern hospitality. She was speedy and accurate and added to the home feel of the restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for southern homestyle food and hospitality.

  • Elizabeth K.

We went to 3 breakfast diners while on vacation and this one did have the best pancakes! I did not care for the hash browns- they are sliced potatoes- kind of like undercooked chips? I like mine shredded and a little crispy. My husband liked them. Best hash browns were at Dino's. This place had good character and was crowded. I'd recommend it.

Just came in after 12 hours in the car. Place is great. Service was outstanding. We will be back again. Prices are extremely resonibile.

    (5)
  • Travis M.

Huge portions for a small price. My wife and I walked here one morning for breakfast and both received huge plates of food. I had the pancake and eggs breakfast and she had the French Toast. Very friendly staff

    (5)
  • Rick S.

Good food, but not special. The place was very busy and our waitress was very efficient. I suspect the interior has not changed since the 1970's. An ok pancake house.

    (3)
  • Brian H.

If you're into soggy pancakes, under cooked bacon and cold coffee, this place is not for you. Great southern style breakfast with the best pancakes in the Myrtle area. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the American style breakfast.

  • Kimberly B.

Went to the golden griddle for breakfast based off of yelp reviews. Food was super good and everything you would expect from a nice southern breakfast diner. Great prices and fast and friendly service. Linda was our server and she was so sweet and accommodating.

  • Davis N.

Met some friends for breakfast here this morning. Great service and with a smile. Food was very good as was the coffee. Understand that there can be a wait at times due to crowds. I will come back.

Their specials are probably the best value for breakfast I've ever seen, and I was surprised by how great the food was given the price. The specials come with a reasonably-sized meat entree (pork chops, steak, big pieces of sausage, etc) accompanied by 2 eggs, and grits or hashbrowns for just $6.60-6.95. I ordered the "Hot Smoked Sausage", which consisted of 3 super delicious and juicy pieces of smoked/spiced sausage. The eggs were pretty good (not too oily) and the hashbrowns were actually more like grilled scalloped potatoes, which was still yummy. I tried some of my bf's 5 oz ribeye steak and was blown away by how tasty it was, given my expectations that this would be diner-quality food...juicy and nice texture, perfectly medium-rare. We also ordered pancakes, which were okay...very fluffy, but not particularly buttery (even with the butter spread they put on top). Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast at Myrtle, because this place has fantastic value (at least for the specials): cheap prices for tasty and filling food. Highly recommend the ribeye and smoked sausage specials.

  • Peter L.

As far as quick diner food goes this place was pretty good. The food came out fast and was all cooked just how we wanted. Got the steak and eggs special and meat was cooked med how I wanted and both mine and my ladies eggs were cooked perfect. Pancakes weren't the best ive had but still pretty good.

  • Raymond B.

Had the big dog combo wife had ham and eggs all was perfect. Friendly staff and clean place. Nice priced menu and generous portions. The only thing was the coffee luke warm and very bitter. I still would return just have juice instead next time.

  • Coco C.

This was the best breakfast experience out that I have ever had! It was packed but we only waited about 8 minutes for a table. We had superb service. Coffee was poured and they left the pot on the table. I had buttermilk pancakes and bacon and ate every bite. My husband got pecan pancakes, 3 eggs, and bacon and he said it was perfection. Loads of pecans in and on the pancakes. Great place for large groups or small, quick breakfast before you hit the beach or the road. My toddler was really happy with his pancake and OJ. I loved it so much that I bought a T-shirt! Can't wait for my next beach trip and I will eat here every day for breakfast or brunch.

  • Ted T.

Excellent breakfast and amazing value. The French toast was phenomenal and the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. It's not an upscale joint but you cannot beat the value. Definitely recommend checking it out.

    (4)
  • Daniell S.

Beeakfast...so GOOD!! We had a little bit of everything...pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage..clean plates all around. And the friendly service is unbeatable!! It was like breakfast at your favorite aunts house :)

  • Rick F.

Big area for seating, so large groups are easily handled. We were in early, so there wasn't a wait for us. On the way out, there was a small crowd of people waiting for tables. Waitress was very personable and attentive. Good selection for all of the family and reasonably priced. Eggs and bacon were cooked to order so they arrived exactly how I wanted and liked them. Pancakes were really good. Omelet was really BIG. Next time in the area, a trip to the Golden Griddle will be in store.

  • Adam S.

My daughter and son-in-law drove from Surfside beach area all the way up here to eat breakfast. The pancakes are outstanding, omelets are great. I have never had a bad meal here. Even the sweet iced tea was good. The staff is as friendly as you will find. It's like being in your own little hometown restaurant. I will be back every time I came to the beach.

    (5)
  • Timothy H.

Love this breakfast spot! Good food (try the pecan waffles), great service, and affordable prices. They can also accommodate large groups quickly. A must do at your next visit to North Myrtle Beach.

    (5)
  • Brandy M.

After enduring Waffle House multiple times on vacation (my husbands favorite) I chose this place mostly based on the reviews as there are 467 pancake places around here. I had a veggie omelette with a side of pancakes and bacon. He had a mushroom and Swiss omelette with hash browns and blueberry pancakes. The portions were great. I was full but found myself wanting more as the food was so good. Everything was fresh and hot when it came out. Service was great. I like the idea if supporting a Mom and Pop place as this clearly was, decor was dated but made me feel like I was sitting in my Grandmas kitchen. I'd make the drive from Maryland just for the pancakes. Make this a must have if your in the area.

Located about 2 blocks from the beach. Visited several places in North Myrtle Beach for breakfast over the last week and this one is the best. Fast service, friendly wait staff, and most importantly great food.

    (4)
  • Heather B.

Great food, awesome prices and service. Only waited 10 minutes for a table. Would go again.

    (4)
  • Bob S.

Waffle and hash browns were excellent as were the pancakes. Quick and polite friendly service. The owner even came by the table to welcome us. The prices are fair and the portions generous. I would joyfully return.

This restaurant was advertised on our hotel's local advertisers channel. We also found a coupon for it in the Monster Coupon book. And, finally, we Yelped it. The positive reviews were all spot on. In our party of four, we had the chocolate chip Belgian waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, and French toast. All were great. The service was good, and the food was on our table before my daughter and I could finish a game of Hangman. There are ample pancake restaurants in MB. This one is worth a visit.

The Golden Griddle is truly a solid place for breakfast, brunch or brinner(breakfast for dinner). To begin with, the prices are phenomenally cheap. Almost everything is under 10 bucks and their specials are amazing value for 6.50. You get a ton of food and you could honestly probably split a plate like I did with my girlfriend and still be full. I had the 5 oz Ribeye Special (nothing like steak in the morning) with hash browns (really just scalloped potatoes) and scrambled eggs/whole wheat toast. Everything was good, especially the steak, since it greatly exceeded my expectations. The service is great (imagine a lot of middle aged souther matrons) and the service is fast. I will definitely be here again. Also, it has unlimited coffee and tea. Now that's amazing.

    (4)
  • Cheryl S.

The best pancakes ever! The blueberry pancakes with the homemade apple sauce is to die for! It can get very crowded on Sundays after church so expect to wait but the staff efficiently moves folks along. Best time is around 11:00 am on an October morning after crowds have moved on.

    (4)
  • Bilal T.

The breakfast was pretty delicious! The sausage omelet was great! The buttermilk pancake was, honestly, probably the best I've had in a restaurant. The only downside was the coffee-- pretty lackluster. But, beside that, it was a solid 4.

    (4)
  • Jeff B.

I know its easy to make good breakfast, but this place was GREAT. Pancakes were huge, mound of melted butter unlimited supply of real maple syrup, person I came with had an omelet which was stuffed and loaded down, looked very good. Kinda like a better version of cracker barrel. They have a lot of options and the house was packed. The aroma hits you in the parking lot even before entering the front door, its awesome! Quick tip, I'd get here early breakfast crowd comes quick and this place fills fast, before you know it there's a line out the door. The staff is fast and efficient though and churns the crowds in and out quickly.

    (4)
  • Lindsey S.

Breakfast was delicious!! We had a party of 7 and the place was packed. We were seated in less than 15 minutes and our food came out super fast. The pancakes, like mentioned in the menu, were great as well as the omelet! As a food guru...take my word for it go for breakfast!

Mom and Pop operation with a heavy Marshall University themed decor inside an older, yet surprisingly well maintained building. Staff was hard working, attentive, and pleasant, despite a hopping pace to serve the crowd of hungry tourists. My group of 13 visited the Golden Griddle the day before on the recommendation of my son who had previously visited on a VT fraternity get away weekend, and enjoyed the food so much, I had to come back a second day for the pancakes. I had the buckwheat pancakes, and they were as good the second day as they were the first . I don't remember what the exact cost of the meal, but it was reasonable price, appropriate sized portions that were tasty. Will definitely make this pancake house my "Must" breakfast stop the next time I am in Virginia Beach.

  • Jennifer A.

This place was great for breakfast. It's family oriented staff was courteous. My family were extremely happy with their breakfast. And the best part is you don't leave there feeling gross cause you ate too much. Food is light and season well. Will definitely go back. The only thing is it could use an update but besides that we were happy.

    (4)
  • Cara P.

We came on a Sunday and it was very crowded but we were welcomed by the owner who was very friendly. We only had to wait fifteen minutes for our table. The tables were clean and our food came out quickly. The pancakes were good but the syrup was not really thick so we needed a lot extra syrup. The eggs and bacon were delicious. We will definitely come back.

  • Kenneth C.

Fabulous food! Friendly service!! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

  • Jonathan V.

I've seen the big crowds at Golden Griddle, so I thought I would check this place out. We were greeted with a smile and "hello" from the hostess, and we were promptly seated. Waiter came out quick to take drink orders. I got 3 eggs, sausage links and pancakes. Instead of pancakes, you could get grits and toast. Eggs were cooked to order, links were juicy and good, and pancakes were good. Warm syrup was a nice touch. I had to try the home fries, and they didn't disappoint. My wife had the breakfast special of the day ($3.40), french toast. She liked it. All in all, this was a very good breakfast. Not the best breakfast I've had, but a very good breakfast.

    (4)
  • Damari F.

Quick and great service. Pancakes and bacon were awesome! Coffee was freshly brewed and delish! They left us a pot at our table for refills. Immediately seated with 7. Highly recommend.

Well we've been coming to GHPH for the last 6 years. It's always our last stop as we head back home. Went there yesterday and there was a 25 minute wait, there's always a 25 wait which should tell you something. The staff is pleasant, polite, and fast. Cleanliness, awesome for how many people come through in a morning. Cost, inexpensive. Now for the food. I suggest the Big Dog special. 3 eggs, bacon or sausage and 3 delicious pancakes washed down with some old school coffee. Delicious EVER time.

For a pancake house this one is really good. Much better than Dino's which we've been going to every year in Myrtle. THIS one we will return to many times in the future.

Eaten here many times and always leave happy. Favorites are pancakes and the Golden Griddle omelette.

  • Jasonj L.

Pass. Eggs were dry and over cooked. Hash browns were soggy and oily. French toast was ok. Corn beef hash was so soo. Only reason this got two stars was because the bacon was crispy and good. As there are many breakfast places in the area. I'll keep looking.

    (2)
  • Kavi D.

Great breakfast place. Had the veggie omelet and it was delicious. Service was prompt though slight confusion with who in our party ordered what. Price was reasonable. Highly recommended.

  • Lauren R.

Although we didn't arrive at the crack of dawn, we didn't arrive too late in the day either. When we walked in there was a wait of a few different parties in front of us. Normally this would worry me: especially because I was having hunger pains, but the wait time moved very quickly and we were seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. The wait staff was very helpful and even with the wait, they were attentive and seemed to work as a team instead of everyone for themselves. I had chocolate chip pancakes because it's vacation and I'm allowed to cheat. The chocolate chips weren't overloading the pancakes which happens all too often, instead they were a nice compliment to the pancakes. We were in and out of breakfast in about half an hour. Another little perk is that unlike IHOP or the Waffle House, you don't leave with a huge stomach ache because of all of the grease they use.

    (4)
  • Randy T.

Great for a little breakfast. Attentive service and the pancakes were fantastic. Everything arrived quickly, hot and delicious... we'll be back here for sure.

If you are in North Myrtle - you must try this place. The pancakes are good and the Belgium waffle is fantastic. Always busy so plan to get there a bit early. We've been 5-10 times now and never had a bad experience.

  • Sean T.

A must stop for our group every year we visit North Myrtle Beach. Menu has a great selection. Golden Griddle omelette is a must, for omelette lovers, don't forget to add gravy. Waitstaff is very friendly, and works hard to take care of us.

We stumbled upon this place simply because it was within walking distance of our hotel. Reasonably prices, large portions, and friendly service. What more could you want. I would definitely recommend ordering the home fries. They were awesome!!!

This place is great! Staff is friendly and food is always perfect! the best is a item known to the locals not on the menu. It's "Krispy Kreme French Toast." Ahhhh heaven!!! Thanks Golden Griddle the perfect combo!

Excellent food and great service! If you want to start your vacation off the right way, go to breakfast here. My veggie omelet was amazing! Will definitely return! :-D

  • Tony F.

This is a good breakfast joint. Quality buttermilk pancakes, decent service, and you get your own pot of coffee which is quite nice. My omelet was slightly under done and the veggies were not cooked all the way through, but it was still edible. It's kinda hard to screw up breakfast, or make your breakfast place stand out from the pack...this place does neither. I don't know that I'll drive by 5 other places to end up here again, but the grub was good, and I'm guessing by the packed house, pretty consistent.

    (3)
  • Chris P.

We have traveled coast to coast and these are the best pancakes and omelets we have ever had! Fresh ingredients make the meal! Prices and hospitality can't be beat either! We will definitely be coming back the next time we're down in SC!

  • Keri G.

There is a lot of competition among breakfast places at the beach, and really, they are all about the same. Thats why its good to have a favorite, a place you can count on each time you go to the beach. Our 3 day beach trip this past weekend consisted of 3 days of Golden Griddle. Sometimes its looks a little chaotic with the hords of people there. But once on the list, you really never have to wait more than 10 minutes. They know how to move 'em in and outta there. My favorite thing to get is something with strawberries...waffles, pancakes, or french toach, all good with strawberries on top.

Golden Griddle has the best breakfast in North Myrtle Beach. The pancakes are light and fluffy. The blueberry pancakes are to die for! Golden Griddle is locally owned and the owners make sure patrons are seated as quickly as possible. The waitstaff is friendly and very efficient. Try the omelettes and their hash brown potatoes. (They are not the bagged shredded kind, these are real fried potatoes. You will not be disappointed!

I'm from NJ and am surrounded by great places to eat. That being said coming to Myrtle Beach should be a great diet as the food overall is just poor quality...if course I keep eating, hoping for a good meal. I've been coming to the golden griddle for 10 years. This is the worst the food has ever been. Pancakes tasted tart. Mushroom omelettes was with canned mushrooms. Everything was an upcharge. Extra cheese in omelette was non existent. Even the service was blah.

Great pancakes, and great service! Good hearty breakfast for my family and it costed about 18 bucks for 3 adult dishes. Great value!

I have been going to the Griddle for about 15 years. It's pretty obvious this is a family runned place. The food is always great and service is always an A+ I have never had a bad experience. If you drive past and see a line STOP. Even if there is a long line you never have to wait more than about 15 minutes. The wait is going to be worth it. I recommend the sausage link and pancakes they are the best.

I am so glad we went here on vacation! This is nothing fancy! They just serve great breakfast! There coffee was so good! The food was delicious! I ordered an omelet and it was perfect. Service was quick, the waitress called me "honey!" A nice diner that is popular and reasonably priced! on vacation!

We went in search of a good place that had a made-to-order country breakfast. This place fit the bill....and the Belgium Waffles were divine---'whopper' in size, and the hot syrup served with it made it A+ in my book! We will be revisiting on the next trip for sure!

Best breakfast spot in NMB! Clearly you come here for the food and not the looks of the place. Service is always fast and friendly. Best pancakes and waffles too!

This is a good, inexpensive diner and a welcome alternative to the overcrowded IHOP and Bob Evans for breakfast/brunch. We called to determine the wait at noon on a Sunday and to ensure they were still serving breakfast. My husband was told, "No wait, come on, hon!" and we got in the car. The female owner circulated through the dining room, checking on customers and chatting it up with locals. The service was quick and attentive. Eggs were cooked properly (scrambled w/ cheese, over medium, etc), buttermilk pancakes were warm and tasty and served with a cup of heated maple syrup, bacon was plentiful. My son was disappointed that they didn't have barbecue sauce or pepper jack cheese for his burger, but this place has the basics and does them well. Make sure you check the local coupon magazines for a 15% coupon that was taken at the register without issue. Even without it, prices are cheap and the food is good. I would go back without hesitation.

Best breakfast in NMB. Get there early or expect to wait... just like anywhere else.

Wow, why does this place have good reviews?? It's a hole in the wall breakfast place that serves mediocre, fatty food and has terrible service, and prices are too high for the little amount they give you (and I'm 5'2, 110 lbs, not a big eater at all...and I left starving!) When we walked in, we weren't acknowledged at all by the lady at the cash register. Next thing, another lady comes by with menus, slaps them down at a table and says, "There y'are" and walks away. Um, okay, sorry for disturbing your morning. The waitress was friendly but frazzled. She got my bf's order completely wrong, and served his first and came out with my order 5 minutes later (I had a very complicated order--1 egg overeasy and corned beef--very complicated and time consuming, I know, to merit coming 5 minutes after my partner's). Coffee was DISGUSTING! More like warm dirt water. The only people who seem to come are locals (old men who just hang around) and poor touristy schmucks. TIP: if you go, find a monster coupon book and you'll see a coupon for 15% off your order. Takes some of the pain off. But I'd just as soon find another restaurant.

Choose this place based on the reviews. It is hard to mess up breakfast. I ordered the pancakes with apple topping. The apples were great the pancakes were a little dry but still good. The portion size was way to much. Three almost plate size pancakes is a lot. Next time we stay in North Myrtle Beach will stop in again.

Service was super friendly and lightning quick. They got a team of busboys attacking the completed breakfast tables. This opens the table pretty quick, we didn't have a wait. The servers and the greeters were super friendly. It's a solid Breakfast spot done southern style. Biscuits and gravy, varieties of pancakes, grits and eggs. I got the "Big Dog Special." a short stack bacon and eggs and coffee 8$ and I left full. Parking is a breeze. There is a coupon for 15% off in the local coupon monster book.

Weak coffee. Rubbery pancakes. Corned beef hash scraped off the bottom of a burnt pan. Disappointing given the Yelp reviews.

I've had much better breakfasts at other places. I ordered a dish that included eggs, bacon and pecan pancakes. The eggs were so so, had a weird taste. Maybe not fresh? The bacon was excellent, crispy and flavorful. The pecan pancakes were so so, fresh but not mind blowing. The pecans were just sprinkled on top of regular pancakes. I give this place a three star. My three star rating is for breakfast places with '$'. I wouldn't compare it to a '$$$$' restaurant.

Great food. The pancakes and omlettes are awesome. I was there with my wife and 3 kids. We tried 3 types of pancakes: blueberries , chocolate and peaches. All are great but blueberries is probably the best if I when we come next time. We had mushrooms and Swiss omlettes which were wonderful. Everything fresh. Large portions for the price. Service is welcoming. Place is older but feels cozy and warm. We would definitely come again.

Friendly and fast service. Food was average and not disappointing for the price. Found that you have longer wait time between 10 and 11:00 on Sat.

Awesome Breakfast / Pancake Restaurant. Fast & Friendly service, these people get it. They run a tight ship and make it look easy as well as being personable along the way. The food is just right, made with affection and just simply dine right. Prices are reasonable and they do great turnaround without making anyone feel rushed. Don't worry if there is a line at the door cause they have a system & it works well. This will become my new Breakfast spot for years to come!

I love this place because it has character and stands out against the cookie cutter breakfast places. It likes going to a relatives house for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and eager to please and the food is great! I always stop here when we go to Myrtle Beach and I travel their a couple times a year because my family leaves about forty minutes away.
